Lonely Boy

Photo I took in Barcelona, not really relevant but whats a blog post without a picture eh?!

Hello! This is a quick post to say I'm taking a bit of a break from blogging. I think with exam pressure building I'm beginning to think of blogging as more of a chore than something I get excited about, so I'm going to stop for a couple of months until my exams are over and come June I'll be back. I'll still post now and again, but I need to study pretty hard in these next few months (lucky me) if I want to get decent grades. Also I'd like to say a wee thank you for all my followers, I just realised I hit 50!

So stick with me, I'll be back soon :)

London Fashion Weekend

photo credits to Akemi from akemishootsvideos!

If you read my previous post you would know that last Friday I went to London Fashion Weekend! It was really good, the collections on the catwalk were so pretty. I think my favourite was 'dolls house', which had cute girly colours and prints with an edgy twist. I can't wait to go again! I didn't manage to get any decent photos myself, pretty much every photo I took went blurry, so thats why I'm using Akemi's. She shoots cool videos and things (I appear in a few, you guys) so check out her youtube channel! So that's all I have to say really, apart from I've been listening to The Ready Set and 3oh!3 all week.

Because you can't really see, I wore:
cream lace crop top -Topshop, grey skater skirt (worn high waist)- Primark, grey flatform shoes - River Island, bowler hat - h&m and coat - Primark

Hope you're all having a good week!

These past few weeks have been pretty hectic. Thursday we were going to go to the Lake District but we couldn't due to half the family falling ill, Friday was London Fashion Weekend, yesterday I was shopping in Oxford Street, Valentines day and pancake day were both last week and the remainder of my time has been filled with revision, strawberry lemonade and wagon wheels *breathes out*.

Fashion Weekend was really good, I didn't end up buying anything a) because I'm not rich and b) because I'm not rich, but I got a few free goodies (i.e. lots of diet coke and muller yogurt) and the infamous tote bag filled with free samples (well, I say free, the bag cost a tenner...). I went with my friend Akemi and her mum, and despite me choosing to wear possibly the most uncomfortable shoes known to man we had a really good day. I'll post a few pictures later if anyone is interested!

Hope you all had a good week, back to school for me tomorrow- bring on the art related tantrums and ripping-out-my-hair-esque chemistry lessons.

Barry M 'Gelly' Nails and Primark False Nails

Hello! I'm not usually a lover of false nails, but I saw these yesterday in Primark and I thought I would give them a go- as they were only a pound. They were originally a light pinky/purple colour, but I painted over them. They're surprisingly good! The glue is pretty strong which I wasn't expecting, I was half thinking they were going to fall off within the first half hour of having them on. I'm definitely going to repurchase, especially considering they're only a pound. I've also had this Barry M red nail paint for a while now, and I love it. It's so shiny and the colour is very rich and opaque.

Hope you're all having a good week!

I'm Living on Such Sweet Nothing

dress - topshop, shirt - pull & bear, hat - h&m, shoes - primark

Hello! It's been so sunny today! I didn't even feel the cold as I took these photos, madness! Even as I post this I'm still not sure if I like this outfit, I think it's something about the sleeves, hmm. Oh well I haven't posted in a while (I say a while I mean a few days) but hey ho there's nothing like being consistent. I'm off to 'Fashion Weekend' on Friday, being the practically nonexistent person I am I didn't go to Fashion Week itself, but I'm looking forward to Friday none the less! I'll take lots of pictures and post them when I can. I have an outfit in mind so hopefully I won't look like a sack of potatoes...

Also, if you didn't notice from my last instagram post I've had my hair cut short! To be perfectly honest I'm not thrilled with it (always the pessimist, me), the layers are a bit too difficult to style and I can't tie it in a hair doughnut anymore. But all is not lost, this means I don't have to tie it up for school anymore ('I can't Sir, it's too short! It'll just fall out of the ponytail!') which is always good.

I took a quick trip to Superdrug today in between filming for my friends YouTube channel and I bought a Johnsons day cream which I'm very excited to try out. It's in a cute little glass jar which will look pretty on my dressing table and it smells like suncream. If I like it I'll do a proper review!

Hope you're all having a lovely week,

Favourite Soap & Glory Products

I love Soap and Glory. Every time I'm in Boots I find myself turning into the skincare isle and inhaling smelling all the products and I usually end up buying something. So I thought I would do a post reviewing three of my favourites!

I've been using Flake away for about a year now (I'm on my second tub) and I love it. I'm not sure if you're actually supposed to use it on your face (apparently its meant for the legs) but I do. Due to the crappy weather I have pretty dry skin at the moment and this is perfect for taking away the flakyness and leaving my skin soft and moisturized. I not only use it on my face but I do use it on my legs as well, and I'm not sure if I'm the only one that thinks this but especially after shaving my legs this is amazing. It makes your legs feel like soft butter (good comparison, Rosie). The smell as always is amazing, and although a little grainy this scrub is one of my favourites.

I've only been using 'scrub your nose in it' for a short while, but so far I really like it. The consistency is quite thick and it's a blue scrub with not much grain. You're supposed to apply it to your T-zone, as this is aimed at large pores and blemishes. Once applied, it stings a little but I've been told this means it's 'working'. After use it makes my skin feel softer, and since using it about a month ago my pores have slightly reduced. However, this scrub makes my skin feel incredibly clean and fresh- the feeling is quite hard to describe so I'll describe it how I did to a friend "it feels like you've just cleaned your teeth, but on your face". Not the best way of describing it I know but to me its pretty accurate.

Sugar Crush body wash. Oh my god, this smells like heaven. A mixture of brown sugar and lime, this makes my showers the best part of the day. It has a runny consistency; much like double cream (wow my comparisons are really bad today). It lathers up really well, and the smell lingers on the skin very faintly. The only downside is the smell can be quite overpowering when you use too much.

Hope you enjoyed these reviews!

Sunday Summary Week 6 & 7

1 phones broke (yet again) so all my apps are gone. 2. short hair :O 3. i have an everlasting love for Ikea 4. new curlers 5. looking depressed 6. pretty sunrise 7. pathetic ponytail haha 8. another pretty sunrise 9. my rainbow socks, u dig? 10. what's a diet? 11. Ikea candle, s&g and lush bath 12,13,14,15. oreo brownie cookies (need I say anymore) 16. crappy English weather

For the first time in a while, I can say I've had a pretty good past two weeks! Apologies for not posting a SS last week but I think I'm going to start doing them fortnightly as I think these type of posts can get a bit repetitive. School has been hard as per but I'm getting used to it now. I haven't really got much time to sit down and do some 'proper' blog posts, but this summer I'll be posting a lot more because I won't have any work to do.

Last night I stayed at a friends house and we made oreo brownie cookies. THEY WERE INCREDIBLE. A layer of chocolate chip cookie, a layer of oreos, a layer of toffee sauce and then a final layer of brownie. Lord give me strength. I know people are usually diet fanatics this time of year but I really don't care about what I eat, I'm not overweight so why should I care? Bring on the pizza, I say.

Topshop Wishlist

Lipstick in 'infrared' £8, Beanie £10, Jumper £36, iPhone case £8, Sandals (far left) £60, Platforms (middle) £50, Boots (far right) £70

Here are some things I've been lusting over recently. I've been wanting the lipstick for so long, the colour is such a perfect orangey red, I need it! The shoes I will never be able to save enough money to buy, but hey, a girl can dream right? Also seeing as my iPhone has now broke twice since getting it in the new year (relying on a nokia for even just a week is unbearable) I think a decent case is in order, to show it some love.

I feel like I haven't blogged in an age, but it's probably only been a week or so. I've been lacking motivation to be honest, my art GCSE has me staying at school until five each night, so I don't really have the time. I always have the time however to rifle through the 'new' section of topshop, thus this post is born.

Hope you're all having a good week!
