Match Perfection, Scandaleyes, Too Cool to Tango Rimmel London Mini Haul

Match Perfection Foundation in 010 'Light Porcelain':
Ever since finishing off my second bottle of Rimmel's 'Wake Me Up' foundation, I've been looking out for something to better it. My first impressions of this foundation were good. The colour is a good match for my skin, much better than 'Wake Me Up' as it's much less orange. I have pale skin, and it's very hard to find a foundation colour that suits me, and this one does the job. The consistency is good, if slightly thin, and I still have to use a concealer as the coverage isn't fantastic, but this is a very good foundation. The staying power is brilliant, it lasts all day without a primer. I don't particularly like the glitter in this foundation however, nor did I like it in the 'Wake Me Up' foundation. I would much prefer if it was just the colour on its own, but I suppose that's just my taste. I would rate this 7.5/10.

Scandaleyes Mascara:
I always feel a bit suspicious of mascaras, the adverts always portray them as something amazing that will give you eyelashes that reach up to your forehead (slight exaggeration). I struggle to find a mascara that doesn't give clumpy, stubby, sticky eyelashes let alone a mascara that gives you long ones. This mascara I got free because I spent £10 on the rest of the range, and I think it's the product I'm most happy with. The brush has soft bristles, not plastic ones which I love. I think bristles are better at separating lashes than plastic ones, and this brush certainly lives up to that claim. This mascara leaves my eye lashes elongated and separated which is very hard to find in a high street mascara. I rate this 9/10.

60 Seconds Nail polish in 'Too Cool to Tango':
This nail polish was definitely something I regret buying. I got to the till, with a much lighter blue in hand called 'Sweet as Sugar', only to be told I've only spent £9.98, and so I can't get the free mascara. How my heart broke. I quickly swapped it for this colour in the slightly more expensive nail polish range, as it was the closest colour to the one I picked originally. To be honest I just wanted to pick any old nail polish and get out of there because it was slightly embarrassing to hold up the queue for so long. I got home and painted this on my nails, and it really wasn't very good. The colour needed about three coats to show up and when it did it was streaky. Not impressed! This is mostly my fault of course, I should have thought more about what I was buying. However I'd rate this nail polish a 5/10. Sorry Rimmel!

Have you taken advantage of this free mascara offer? Whats your favourite Rimmel London product?

p.s. If I started a lifestyle blog, would anyone read it?

  1. I love the Match Perfection foundation, it's so lovely and it goes to a Light Porcelain, which is perfect for my skin tone.

I'm not really one for buying branded mascaras, but this one looks really nice.

'Too Cool To Tango' is a gorgeous colour, I love the Rimmel 60 seconds polish, they actually do what they say and dry so quickly <3
